RABOBESTO - Or How I Saved a Monster (2022)
Mari Mantela studied camera techniques before film directing studies at the Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. Mantela´s short film Rabobesto – Or How I Saved a Monster (2022) is a multi-award-winning short film both internationally and domestically.
Mantela´s medium length film An Autobiography (2017) won several international prizes and it competed in Palm Springs Shortfest and Brooklyn Film Festival among other top-rated festivals.For over a decade Mantela worked internationally directing commercial productions.
Writer – director Mari Mantela has a strong personal style which often uses symbolistic or surrealistic approach in storytelling.Mantela is currently working on her debut feature MAROTTE.
