Ulla has a way of capturing the warmth of human relationships, awkwardly funny collisions, and life’s turning points.
She is drawn to the moments when people come together: families gathering around the same table, celebrations that don't quite go as planned, and the rituals that bring old dynamics to the surface.
Her work looks closely at relationships, finding humour and tenderness alongside the awkwardness, conflict and sometimes pain of being with other people. This sensibility runs through her feature films Eden and Elämä on juhla, as well as the internationally premiered series Atlantis Pasila. We’re proud to represent Ulla on our roster— a writer-director who simply gets what it means to be human.
